The Carmelite Auxiliary holds an annual event to raise funds in support of the Discalced Carmelite Nuns of Sacramento. Since the Carmelites exist on donations from friends, we cannot stress the importance of our fundraising efforts enough! Proceeds from our fundraising go toward general maintenance costs for the Monastery, as well as toward special projects.

Historically, the Auxiliary had luncheons in the early spring in Sacramento,  either in members’ backyards or occasionally in the Dante Club. Beginning in 2016, the new Auxiliary chose to have a Spaghetti Luncheon and Silent Auction at various churches in the Sacramento diocese.

Our next fundraiser dinner event is set for 2027! We will be offering dinner & dessert, wine available for purchase, a raffle, and a Silent Auction. Information about the Monastery, the nuns’ lives, and the work of the Auxiliary is shared. This is a really fun event, with great food, great prizes, and an informative slide show. Check back with us as soon as we secure our date for 2027!

I just wanted to compliment the Auxiliary on the wonderful Spaghetti Luncheon. It was so enjoyable, and so well executed!
